Various artists...

Im a 34 year old Mum of 2 year old twin girls, Claire & Charlotte. We live in the Hunter Valley, NSW and love to giggle. I am addicted to everyday art and that helps me scrapbook our lives. Our motto... "Get amongst it". I have just been announced as a Scrapbooking Memories Master, what a thrill!

Well this time (well 9am) 2004 Claire was born... closely followed by Charlotte (9.03am)... yep my girls are TWO! I was going to mushy on about it... I think I will spend the time telling them the story...

Ive been asked to start work tonight... so if you dont hear from me for the next 3 months... I will be in vampire mode...working all night... sleeping all day.. no pics.. remember camera is stuffed... kinda looking at new cameras.. I really want to show you all what I do... its such a fabulous job.. being a midwife to horses...

I was gonna prattle on about how angry I am with Damian (C & C's father - I use that term loosley) but there's two sides to every story (we were in love once) and I probably should shut up complaining when I really have it better without all his drama... so I will instead be thankful I get to spend so much happy time with the ladies...

I got a phone call last night (So did Marion.. so far thats all Ive heard.. congrats Marion!)... Im in to the top 100 for the Masters competition... Im more than happy with getting that far... whatever happens from now on is a bonus...

and lastly... I got the photos back from Rachel... I sat in the car and cried and cried and cried... such happy happy tears... they are the MOST gorgeous photos.... This is not an ad at all... but Do yourself a favour... organise a photo shoot with this amazing woman... then you too can cry in your car LOL! Unbelieveable! Truly remarkable photos... I think from the photos, my girls could be models (doesnt everyone think that about their own kids? LOL!) just please please please DO IT! Ive had plenty of studio photos taken of them and these candid beach shots blow the studio shots out of the water! So go do it!!!

thats all
Im in a funny mood today

be good!

Just quickly!

This photo gives me happiness... the two outfits packed in the car the night before heading off to the central coast...

An this is the calm before the storm... this is THE photo I got from the camera before dunking it in the sea!

Still shaking my head at myself!

I love the photo...

ps not long to Crafting Connection now! Getting into my homework and getting tools together!

So do you want the good news or the bad news?...

OK the bad first! While at the photo shoot with
Rachel Greig on Saturday, I dropped my new camera into the surf... dum dum dum dum... yep thats me DUMB DUMB! So peeved with my stupid self... I was trying to save these plaster angel wings (see below) from being carried away by a freaky wave and I dunked the camera.. It still works sort of.. but the shutter button no longer works so I cant take pics.. So I am a scrapbooker with no camera! Hello my name is Libby and I'm an idiot! Fancy trying to save a $30 plaster wing with a $600 camera ... Oh well now I know what I will be saving madly for until Christmas... I will have to ask for my old Kodak back from Mum for a while I think... poop! Never mind...back to the best news... Please anyone who reads and can do it... get in touch with Rachel and get your kids to a photo shoot with her.... more than Brilliant! More than value for money! The girls had so much fun... everything went so beautifully and Mum & Dad were so happy to be included in the day ... secretly I think Mum & Dad had more fun than the ladies.. we collected cuttlefish, (and avoided blue bottles LOL!) sticks and shells... we will going to the beach heaps this summer... its so refreshing to take kids to the beach and see the delight in the little things... really adjusts the old personal perspective.. Miss Greig is unreal too ...so down to earth and straight forward.. I've done a few professional photo shoots with the girls where the photographer is a bit precious.. you know ... "I have the expensive equipment and just stay over there and make the kiddies laugh" but Rachel is so relaxed and the preview of the pics is awesome.... I'm so happy...

A couple of the pics I was trying to take before I dunked the old camera...

*I am a doody head!*

Dogs & Nature...

Been at Mum's all weekend and Im working tomorrow and Thursday... so... very exciting stuff happening next weekend.. It's Miss Marnie Rose's first birthday party on Saturday.. we hope to get there.. but the very EXCITING news is that our 2nd birthday photo shoot with the ever fantabulous Rachel Greig {at Forresters Beach} is on Saturday afternoon... Grannie & Grampa are coming along to watch (No photos of adults!!! LOL!) and Ive been waiting for so long, planning what to dress the ladies in (something warm) and what to bring... going to try to leave disgusting blankie in the car.. but Sinclair bear will have to be in on the action... cant wait very close now!

Here are some random pics of Mums dog Indy... long story as to how she got her name... I fell in love with Rhodesian Ridgebacks while I was living at home and so I needed a name for my new RR puppy. I wanted a name that was bold and brave and stood for protection.. cos these dogs are lion hunters in South Africa.. apparently they used to take the females out hunting and leave the males at home to guard the homestead... you wanna know why? Cos the males make too much noise.. they bark and are clumsy... Its the same with Bedoins (desert tent dwelling arab clan), they take the mares out raiding neighbouring tents cos the stallions whinny and snort when they see another horse.. I think there's something in that for all of us.. typical Males! always thinking with their little brain!!!

anyway I was rambling.. back to the story.. so the name I came up with was Indiana Jones, but, I didnt like the name in its entirety and because she was a girl puppy.. she became... Mrs Jones...

Mrs Jones was a lovely sweet gorgeous girl... then one day at Mums the truck driver who delivers the oats into the silo, ran over her with his 20 ton truck.. very sad day... I was pregnant with the girls and it hit me pretty hard.. but it hit Mum really hard... so she bought another RR puppy and that's her there... Indy (Indiana) see the theme.. and arent you glad you know all that? A day for rambling information obviously...

This is one view from Mum's while t was still wet from the rain... only 16 mls... but better than no rain... how bare are those paddocks?

And I leave you with random pics of lichen... feel free to copy them if you like... why I hear you ask? I dont know!

OK that's it...

Oh alright two more of Indy... she was sitting on the hay with the iron behind her... Ive paid heaps for photos in a studio made to look like this ROTFLMAO! Was too cold and wet to get the girls to the shed for pics.. but I will remember this spot... Lib x

You never know what life has in store... do you? This time last year what were you doing?

Well I posted off my Masters entry yesterday... wasn't completely happy with the way I presented the CD... Didn't quite come out the way I had planned it in my head. However, I'm totally thrilled with the way the actual projects turned out... SO congratulations to all those who entered and good luck... My goal is to become a Master within the next 5 years... so for my first run I'm really happy... this time last year I was madly scrapping but had never heard of "The Masters" and had to ask the girls on Scrap Needs what the hell the competition was exactly... then Roz, Mishell & Erica became Masters and so I found out a bit more about it... I guess in the back of my mind I've always been going to enter this year & collecting my favourite scrapping supplies, just waiting to be able to use them on something big! So its been about 150 hours on my BTP and I lost count on how many hours the other tasks took... but the preview has gone to SM and now I'm not going to think about it... there are some ladies who I think SHOULD be Masters this year... we'll see Nostra-morris LOL!

So that LO is one I did at the Scrap Needs CF fundraiser day thought Id upload it for a looksy... I don't really put a lot of layouts up cos really I dont punch out that many... I have to wait for inspiration for the title first after looking at the photo... so thats the way I do it...

Nicole's feature in SC has wrent me speechless... Im searching for words to describe how much fabulous stitching work they contain and how beautiful the layouts are.... Go here to see them cos Nic has them on her blog...

We've all had the flu (hence I am not at work today) bit fuzzy and cant remember what I was going to write ... so it is with much regret that I must bid you ...

aideu...

Amber's hubby... (he of the outstanding photography)

This is at Mum's place yesterday morning...

and following is a sequence of photos from before sunrise... remember people ... if you want to take photos of GRUMPY 'morning head' - 'not yet fed' horses... then go out before sunrise and ask the horses to co-operate... every photo has a grumpy head in it LOL!!! that makes me smile... even those of you who aren't 'horsey' will be able to tell what a grumpy horse looks like... see yellow pony below...

First photo I took yesterday... when I should have been on the road.. its 70klm from Mums to work via Day Care... I should have been in the car driving .. but I was out in the paddock freezing... taking photos to show George... not sure if he'll see em but one of the girls might direct him here... Im glad he's such an inspiration for me to take more 'everyday' photos ... cos whats everyday for me is totally different to anyone else ... thats what its all about!... for me!

Nice pink glow... no grumpys in this one

This is Morning Star.. the most beautiful pony in the cosmos... tee hee.. just ask her!!!

This is her grumpy head... hey Michelle.. check those nostrils out.. what a dragon!

Arty??? or just a weird angle???

Another grumpy horse LOL!

OK well bills are calling me... so some chores then some lunch then back to the scrap room...

Jack rang me yesterday morning to tell me the news... due in January... silly planning there LOL! Too hot to be pregnant then... but YAY for them... a few false alarms have made them a bit wary... happy days!

{HA HA HA}

This is a bomb disposal expert... and his 'good' mate... {the one with the brown paper bag LOL!} and this is how I feel... time is ticking... I am wasting time blogging here aren't I?

This is me today... I am busy busy busy...

The Big Brother scandal is weird... It does remind me though to get a posse of my gal friends who happen to be more than 60kg and vigilante style - give Mr Silvestri (from the P & O scandal) a slap! ...HE (and the guy who raped and killed the 8 year old from Perth) must be the most hated men in Australia... What a pig.. and what an attitude.. Did anyone else think he was a little more than arrogant on TV while he strutted to and from court???

Anyway bath time ....

thanks for dropping in .. it was great to see you...LOL!

P.S. Check out Scrap Needs... Sally Clifford and I were asked to be guest design team members for the June Newsletter... Loved that! Loved the newsletter... do yourself a favour and sign up! Makes me appreciate the DT more... it's tough coming up with something you think someone might actually get inspiration from...

ok Im going this time!
